Remote-Piloting Training Provider

ASA was established in 2018 and is Ottawa's largest remote-piloting training provider. Using its own curriculum and methodology, CASA candidates use several platforms in preparing for the TC exams, for learning very real practical theory in classroom and in-the-field practical training based on good practices and efficient procedures.

Le ASA est établie depuis 2018 et est, de ce fait, la plus grande école de télé-pilotage dans la région de l'Outaouais. Le curriculum et la méthodologie propre à ASA permet aux candidats d'utiliser les diverses plate-formes propres aux besoins des étudiants tel que la préparation au examens de TC, pour apprendre la théorie 'réelle' en classe ou la pratique de vol sur le terrain.

Training wheels are coming off!

Most of us pilots have faced missions that were just too large or too far to handle efficiently.

Having to walk kilometers through forests just to reach a target area — and only then be able to see your drone — is neither efficient nor safe.

Having to split survey or search missions into smaller, disconnected segments because you couldn’t see your drone at the far end of a field, or because the distance exceeded two kilometers, wasted precious time and introduced risks of data consolidation errors.

With this certification, pilots can now fly their (often small) RPAS over unlimited distances (with proper DAA) — provided the airspace is classifed ‘G’ and the population density is under 25 persons per square kilometer.

You can now safely stay with your vehicle on the roadside while your drone flies to the operational area to do the work.

You can now create large survey areas within a single mission.

You can now search, count, and even transport payloads across significant distances — without being constrained by line-of-sight limitations.
